The Jerome Lejeune Foundation supports either clinical or fundamental projects leading directly or indirectly to discoveries improving treatments of intelligence genetic disabilities, especially the trisomy 21.

Within this context, the Jerome Lejeune Foundation is granting :
  • transformation of facilities, equipment, running costs directly in relation to the program subject,
  • scholarships.

Important

  • This grant is not to pay staff members.
    However the grant can be used as a scholarship (thesis scholarship, post-doctoral thesis scholarship).
  • The same working team cannot apply for two similar research programs at the same time.
    The same working team cannot apply for both running costs and scholarship at the same time.
  • The grant allowed by the Jerome Lejeune Foundation must be used by the beneficiary at the latest in the 12 months following the expiration date of the contract, whatever its duration is. The balance of the non-consummate credits before the expiration date would be reinstated, after informing the beneficiary, in the research budget of the Jerome Lejeune Foundation.

Are not eligible :

  • Applications from researchers who do not hold an official appointment in a hospital, a university, medical or a research center.
  • Applications including staff members' payment, scholarships excepted..
  • Works and publications using foetal or embryo tissues and material provided directly or indirectly from voluntary abortions, IVF or human cloning.
